Supporting Watsonville Youth in Play, Growth, and Discovery

Recreation Advocates is proud to offer scholarships to help Watsonville youth (ages 2–18) take part in activities that build confidence, creativity, and community.

Scholarship Guidelines

Scholarships may be used for individual or group opportunities that support recreation, cultural expression, entrepreneurship, or other activities that help youth grow and thrive.

Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Sports or recreation programs (swimming, soccer, gymnastics, basketball, etc.)
  • Arts and cultural activities (music, art, dance, theater, cultural programs)
  • Camps, clubs, or enrichment programs
  • Entrepreneurial projects or activities that encourage leadership and innovation
  • Other activities that strengthen the future and well-being of youth

 ELIGIBILITY

Recreation Advocates scholarships are available to support youth in Watsonville, CA. Scholarships are open to:

  • Individuals 18 years old or younger, living in Watsonville
  • Groups and organizations that serve Watsonville youth
  • Demonstrate financial need or a barrier to participating in the desired activity

 application Notes:

  • Scholarships are awarded based on available funds.
  • Applications may be submitted by youth, parents/guardians, teachers, or mentors.
  • Funds must be used directly for program fees, supplies, or costs connected to the approved activity.

hOW TO APPLY

  1. Click the link below to complete the application form
    • Google Forms are available in English and Spanish.
  2. Submit your completed application online
    • Once you’ve completed the form, click Submit to send it directly through the website.
    • Ensure that all required sections are completed before submitting.
  3. Confirmation and Notification
    • You will receive confirmation once your application is successfully submitted.
    • Applicants will be notified within 14 days if their application has been approved.
